In which case the comparison is an unfair one. If QF had set the 330 up for international travel the J layout may have been 2-2-2. The seat pitch would have been greater too. For a fairer comparison , compare it to AA domestic

If travelling J domestically in Australia it will be v difficult to avoid except for a couple of odd cases. Vermin Blue is available if you are intent on avoiding QF

And others have differing opinions. If you do travel QF, then ensure that your seating preferences are in the booking and you will almost certainly get a seat of choice even if you change your travel plans the day before departure. This is something that pre-selected seating would not give you
