The T&Cs distinguish
points from
awards, such that any claim that a transfer of points constitutes an award per se would render the definition of
award in the terms and conditions meaningless, a result that Starwood went to lengths to avoid. A Starpoint is not an award as defined in the T&Cs. And a transfer is a transfer; that is, a transfer is not an award, for a transfer is a transfer, an award is an award, and a point is a point.

Not true either, and this is not about voiding an award, we're talking about a transfer of points and a voiding of a transfer of points. Short of SPG redefining and revising the T&Cs, Starwood would be begging for trouble were it to dream up T&C violations.
Some of the biggest account transfers of points in the manner I noted above have been done by SPG executives/management, past and present.
