How do you know the recipient mentioned in the OP is not actually eligible for a transfer of points by Starwood or Starwood agent? Unless you know it to be a barter or sale, you have nothing to go on to claim that the recipient is not actually eligible for a transfer without violating the SPG T&Cs.
Changing addresses, like transfers, per se does not constitute a violation of the SPG T&Cs. (Also, awards and points are not the same thing.)
As I said earlier, eligible recipients for transfer of points include the persons named on accounts who share the same residential mailing address at the time of point transfers performed by Starwood or a Starwood agent.
There's no violation of SPG T&Cs unless Starwood redefines and revises the T&Cs or unless Starwood wants to go out on a limb and dream up sales or barters where there are none.
Want to know one of the most common situations where this happens? Wedding gifts.

OK...........
Starwood requires you to have the same Mailing address - Sowhen you transfer the points do you have the same mailing address - NO - so therefor you are lying and NOT actually eligible because to be eligible you must have the same mailing address right?
I believe The transfer of points from one account to another is done via an Award.
All im saying is if they choose to Void an award there really is not much that can be done about it why is why i asked the queation IS IT WORTH IT?
