From the agent'ss newsletter:

- from oct 22, same-day return check in will be available if you're 1) travelling on an e-ticket, 2) have no baggage and 3) returning on the same day, within 12 hours of initial departure. this can be done at quickcheck

- from oct 22, customers can move themselves to an earlier flight (i'm assuming based on fare class availability) at the quickcheck kiosk

- from oct 26, Qantas moves to terminal T2A at CDG, (BA will move to 2B) and flight times will change a bit

- soon to come, e-ticket availability on mixed AA/QF metal itineraries

- first class fares between MEL/SYD and europe on sale for travel between now and Nov. 30 for travel between dec 1st and jan 9th - $8,700 valid on BA as well
