Thinking of whether to renew or not. I need *just* 25k miles in the next 6-7 weeks. I do have an undated Diamond card. Don't fly *A too much other than the UA LAX-AKL fare next year (which will go to my US account).
Answer:
"You can maintain your Diamond membership if you fly a total of 40,000 miles with Asiana or a Star Alliance service or fly 50 or more times with an Asiana service within 36 months of being upgraded to Diamond membership."
"Your membership is degraded to Gold if you fail to satisfy the requirements to maintain Diamond membership."

From the "Asiana Club FAQ" section of their site.

Question:
An un-dated OZ Diamond card is not the same thing as OZ*G-for-Life, right? That would require OZ Plat (1MM miles) which is lifetime level and *G as well.
