Of course.... Text from BA very early in the morning telling me the flight had been cancelled and when I called them they re-booked me on the late afternoon flight instead. When I asked them about the EU law they passed me onto the customer relations department.
The reason for the flight cancellation was of course "technical issues" but she said she would open up a case number for me and advised me to complete the EU form on the BA web page, but to wait for a least 72hrs as it would not be available until then and if the form did not work send a letter.
I tried the internet form..and no luck (would not accept the flight details), so off went a letter to the EU Compensation Division (Customer Relations in Suffolk), and after about 12 weeks a cheque in GBP in accordance with the EU rules.
Maybe I was the lucky one....
Hope that helps ?
