Hello everyone. As you can tell from my post count, I'm relatively new to this (though I've been lurking for quite some time), but this InsideFlyer deal has intrigued me enough to come out of the woodwork, so to speak.
Regarding dhackers post above, am I right in my calculation that the Starwood/InsideFlyer deal comes out to approximately 1.9 cents/mile based on converting 20,000 Starpoints to 25,000 miles? If so, this seems to be quite the deal.
If I'm figuring this right, I could get a Concorde ticket for about $2,400 (40 InsideFlyer subscriptions), rather than pay $11,000+. Or I could get two FC BA tickets for $3,800 (64 subs), again saving about 8-9K per ticket. I would never pay usual fares for these tickets, but if I can get them at such a discounted rate, I just might splurge. But before I do, I'd really like to know if I'm figuring this correctly. From what I've read here, it sounds like the magazines not bad either.
Have any of you experts looked into this yet? I'm anxious to hear your opinions.
