Easier once travel has begun, probably true. However, it seems a few folks not leaving for a while have managed to sweet talk UA agents into taking over the control of the PNR from Orbitz and changing dates to the inbound portion without too much fuss. It was mentioned there was a $15 fee for UA to claim control of the PNR back from Orbitz but, like the airfare itself, that amount seems totally kosher with me should I opt to make changes.
And hey, if UA says no when or if I ask for changes, I sure am not about to start interviewing lawyers or preparing legal briefs.
