Thanks for all your feedback about Chase and our Chase Presidential Plus Mastercard. Continental and Chase are very committed to making this a world-class premium travel credit card. We know we're not there yet, but we’re going to be. At $375 per year, we like to think it’s priced pretty competitively considering the full Presidents Club membership that comes with it (not just access when traveling same-day) and the mileage + Flex EQM earnings for all credit card purchases. Other key benefits include quality onshore customer service (handled onshore by the JP Morgan Private Banking center in Columbus, OH), double miles on Continental, car and hotel purchases and access to our EliteAccess services at the airport (if you’re not already an Elite).

More benefits are in the works. For example, later this month we're adding Avis Rent-A-Car as a partner, and all Presidential Plus cardmembers will be invited to sign up for automatic double car upgrades, when available. Also this past month, we added a $3 discount off all premium wines at our Presidents Clubs.

In all, we think having a premium Continental credit card option that focuses on special travel benefits from start to finish is something worth building and improving upon.

Platinums only pay $250 for Pclub access, so the price they charge for the card isn't worth it, they already get EA. Then the only advantages are the Flex EQM, double miles on CO $ spent, and hotels/rentals, and the 5%.
To clarify, entropy, the Presidents Club rates for Platinum Elites is currently $275 per year, not $250.
