Let me get this right: if I miss a flight and someone from PS is there to help me, I call for a LEO for unlawful detention, right? Uh... I think this is about a company who was wilfully violating their contractual agreement with the airline as well as passengers who were violating their Conditions of Carriage (easily available on aa.com.)
But I didn't see where anyone was detained, or prevented from boarding the flight they intended to board (according to their purchased itinerary, PNR and boarding passes,) nor did I read about anyone being sick or in need of assistance. They were merely intercepted, a discussion ensued and they were offered escort to their departure gate.
I still fail to see where any personal freedoms were violated here. Shoot, they didn't even have to take their shoes off!

What if one gets sick on a flight and doesnt want to get on another.
gets an attack of fear of flying etc
no one can MAKE someone else get on an aircraft.
Gee I would start yelling and screaming!
then the pilot wouldnt accept me on the flight
just might have to do that on my lax-syd-akl flight
