I had my one day interview in Chicago on August 9th and was asked to return for a 2nd interview. On August 10th all heck broke out and the liquid ban was instituted.

The interview was one-on-one and took place downtown. They use a recruiting service but the UA logo and posters are all about. Bring your resume, a pen and a smile.

Dress very professionally (suit/sportsjacket and tie) and stay relaxed and confident. Whatever you do, maintain eye contact with your interviewer (standard interviewing guidelines).

My interviewer was great and made me feel very relaxed from the very start. You'll be asked about personal and professional successes and challenges and how you've handled the challenges. You'll be given a scenario and ask how you'd deal with it. It's ok to pause and contemplate before you answer. You're asked why you want to work for United (they know you like to travel and great with people but why United) and if you're flexible to the demands of the job, the schedule (reserve for 2 years!) and relocation. You'll be offered first and second choices for locale but at the interview they'll have a pretty good idea which base(s) are open. Just ask when this is brought up. Your answer is "yes" to all of them if you wish to be invited back for the 2nd interview. Mull over your doubts later.

Ask many, many questions. This is the time to do it and it'll show your interest in the position.

Stay positive and enthusiastic.

The interview took about an hour.

I ended up declining the job after the 10th. There were other factors that contributed to my turning it down. I encourage you to go for it. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.

Good luck!^
