A few years ago, I flew First PHL to LAX on USAirways then Qantas LAX-AKL. The rule for those airlines was I had to connect to the international leg prior to 24 hours after arrival in LAX...which was awesome. Mrs Royster747, son, and I flew last flight into LAX on a Friday eve...and then departed Sat eve for AKL.

Does United have a similar kind of rule? Hoping I can fly PHL into SFO/LAX LATE, spend the night and leave the next night for MEL....
