We purchase tickets to HI from the west coast for our family 331 days out. This practice started when we tried to use frequent flyer tickets for as many seats as possible. Last year we found such good prices we just purchased all of the tickets.

It is getting close to our time to purchase spring break tickets for 2008. HA has great fares 331 days out. One concern I have is that the good fares for the outbound will be gone before the return day is available for booking. In looking at the HA website, it appears that there is a $125 change fee so it doesn't appear to pay to book and then try to change to the desired return date. One way seats also have a $25 each way higher price. So, that isn't very attractive.

Other than waiting 8 days and seeing what is available, are there any tricks available to grab the good fares on the outbound while we wait for the return to become available? Thanks for any thoughts!
