At the risk of sounding a complete geek- ok, no risk at all, it is a certainty- the ones cruise wore in top gun had gold frames.... the full sized 3026.

I did my research before buying as those were the exact ones I wanted... and I hopefully will have my thick hair for some time.

If your girlfriend cannot fix her make-up just by looking at your face while wearing your "aviators", then you cannot call them as such.
You really have to have thick hair too, for them to look good.
I currently have no girlfriend...possibly explained by the above
