OK, am I the only one here who thinks that a federal felony is a bit too far for the type of "interfering with a flight and cabin crew" this guy did? Misdemeanor, sure - even a Class A Misdemeanor. But Felony? In his case, I would say that was way too harsh. And as previously pointed out, it sucks that there is an imbalance wherein an FA can threaten a pax but a pax goes to jail for vaguely threatening an FA. (he never threatened actual violence; his threats could have easily been interpreted as threats to get into a shouting rage).
IMHO, yes, the guy deserved to be convicted. He deserved to be convicted of a serious misdemeanor - not of a felony.
