No no no no no. You have to have the vintage Aviators, almost like what you see in Top Gun (terrible movie, Tom Cruise is a loon): oversized, black mirrored lenses with thin silver metal frame. If your girlfriend cannot fix her make-up just by looking at your face while wearing your "aviators", then you cannot call them as such. You really have to have thick hair too, for them to look good.
