Monday I was at DTW when they announced my flight was oversold and they were looking for volunteers. They were offering a $300 voucher.

My only experience with DBC was with US, and those things became very hard to use. So, I passed on the deal.

Should I have taken them up on it? Are NW vouchers easier to use (i.e., can you apply them without going to the airport/CTO?) Do they have unreasonable blackout dates/restrictions, etc?

I take this trip every week, so I'd like to be armed ahead of time, should the situation arise again.
