I wouldn't necessary consider the A330-200 transferring their flying from domestic to international as a failure, more as a changed strategy. Firstly they would have decided to use the A330-200 on short segments to get familiarity with the aircraft. Now they consider that the international economy has picked up enough to warrant the use of larger A330-200 and A330-300 on international runs as opposed to the 767s. May also be a way to try and standardise the fleets have A330-200 and A330-300 doing a mix of international and domestic now they will just be rostered for only international routes.
