That would be why I said if. Sure there was pretty much no way for anyone to tell if it was correct, but just because the OP and son were SE, that doesn't mean there weren't any GE or PE companions on the list. But assuming that what the GA did was definitely right is as wrong as assuming it was definitely wrong. I was merely pointing out this fact. And there could be evidence that incorrect procedure was followed, and like I said the GA might be questioned about it by his supervisor. I am guessing he would get by with not enough time to follow proper procedure, but that doesn't mean a better GA wouldn't have. I would rather fly an airline that works hard to follow the rules they have created.
