I will make a one way eco. booking to get from MEL-ADL to start. Am I able to just turn up are MEL airport and ask to get on the next flight with D class seats available from ADL (that connect with my arrival from MEL)?
If I call the QF call centre to have the flights added to the ticket, do I need to pay the over the phone booking fee?
Lastly, on check-in in MEL I will be in economy, but connecting in MEL to business class. Will they tag any luggage (if there is any) through as business class, as they are on seperate reservations. Also, when traveling back from BNE to MEL, being an international ticket, with the US on it, I get the 2 pieces at 32kg a piece right (or does a higher QF business class allowance apply?) I will be picking up some things in BNE and will actually need all of the allowance I can get on that leg!
Thanks.

Who is issuing the ticket; if AA, then just phone AA and you can just do it over the phone; if you phone QF with a paper ticket, then you may be hit with a $25 revalidation fee at the airport. You may wish to consider having some random dates on the sectors since , depending on routing/number of sectors, you may be able to get an eticket rather than paper
They will tag the luggage through and I have little doubt that they will put a priority handling tag on it
Your luggage allowance will be 1 piece for the economy MEL-ADL sector and 2 pieces for the sectors that make up the DONE4
