I figure I'll just drop by a MailBoxes Etc. or some such place (at least 2 of those in Dublin) while there and grab the supplies I'll need, looking for the sturdiest package materials.

50 lbs. should be plenty. I figure no more than 5 or 10, depending on what we end up picking up.

I saw the link with the Antlers -- "Must be as free of residue as possible. The skull must be wrapped and tips protected." ick...

As for the Caribbean and Latin American destinations being box embargoed, I may be a bit naive, but what could come in there that you couldn't try to smuggle in any other way, especially considering the box is probably dead obvious?

Maybe I'll write "(Mostly) Residue Free Antlers - Beware of Sharp Edges" on the box or something to keep nosy folks out
