I’ve got a trip with coming up in June combining some business and pleasure. I booked my trip (MSN-DTW-BWI) using my corporate travel agency - then bought a ticket on NWA.com on the same flights for my girlfriend who’ll accompany me. I can’t use my corporate agency for her ticket.

So…now we’re on the same flights with two different confirmation numbers. I’d like to see if there’s a way to join the flights so that a Platinum companion upgrade might process 5 days out. When I call the Plat line, they state that they can’t join the records and that the only way for a companion upgrade is at the gate on the day of travel.

Is there any way under these circumstances to merge the records and be eligible for the early upgrade or am I stuck? Any advice would be appreciated.
