Any insights from People who are aware based on historical observations? Since I am travelling with kids wanted to be doubly sure that I am not getting into any trouble

The results will be known tonight. Even during the worst of the previous riots in France (late 2005), tourists in central Paris were totally safe. I wouldn't worry and just enjoy Paris.
