BBC-America (a non-affiliated cable channel that mostly shows endless reruns of Changing Rooms and, God help us, Benny Hill and The Avengers) occasionally puts on a decent drama or mystery, such as Life on Mars.

However, our cable channels also have an annoying habit of starting a series and never finishing it or even dropping it in mid-season, despite protests from viewers. They showed the first season of Life on Mars (I agree that it's excellent) several months ago and show no signs of bringing in the second season, so that's one of the DVDs I'd like to get.
