Programs: The usual for over 7 Million paid miles flown to date... My first paid flight was on a DC3.

Dumb Question? When Does Qantas Assign Seats on Domestic Flights?
A few days ago I booked QF26 travel for my two daughters and I LAX - AKL, then after a few days layover in NZ, on to BNE on QF26. A week after arrival at BNE, Bkd onwards travel, BNE - SYD. Last segment a couple weeks later, QF 11 SYD - LAX. As usual, the International segments have had seats assigned & the BNE - SYD segment not. When does QF assign domestic travel seats? As I recall, previous QF domestic trip seats were assigned at check-in. Is this still the case?
