How much variation from one IC to another?

I have been trying to decide how much of my business to move to IC this year -- I have enough stays that I can attain top tier in one or maybe two programs (currently have SPG Plat and Fairmont Plat). A big part of the consideration is the quality and selection of hotels. I've stayed at several ICs in the last month, and there has been a pretty big range in quality among them:

IC LA Century City -- best by far of the ones I've stayed at. If all ICs were like this, the decision would be easy. Great service, very nice rooms, great beds (including high quality linens), and a good value at FHR rates.

IC Dallas -- OK, not great. The service was good, but the hotel itself is old, rooms are fine but not close in quality to Century City.

IC Stephen Austin -- mediocre. Service was more variable than the other two (minor glitches), and the hotel itself is also somewhat old and could use some updating. Rooms were fine but not great.

I have also been at the IC Boston for a several day long meeting (didn't stay there), and would put it closer to IC Century City than to the others.

Clearly, from this small sample, there is significant variation in quality across IC properties. My question is whether this is a representative sample, or whether, on average the quality is closer to the top or bottom of this range.

I am the beneficiary of an RA cert, so for my last couple of stays have received RA benefits, which are, so far at least, much better than SPG Plat or Fairmont Plat (in principal Fairmont is similar but the benefits are inconsistently provided there). On the other hand, with an SPG Amex, the earning potential with SPG beats the others hands down.

If it is helpful, here are some other IC properties I would stay at if making it my primary program:

IC London (currently stay at the Savoy -- Fairmont)
Barclay New York (currently stay at various W hotels there)
Willard DC (usually stay at RC Pentagon City)
Mark Hopkins (currently stay at the St. Regis and unlikely to switch under any circumstances)

If anyone has specific guidance on these properties, it'd be much appreciated. I've already searched on all of them and read the existing posts, so mostly I'm looking for specific comparisons with the alternative properties I mentioned.

Thanks in advance for any advice...
