JO is JL's version of JQ; expect a similarly stripped down J, though not quite as austere as JQ. Surprised that NRT-SYD would be JO operated (I haven't checked, taking your word on that). I know NRT-Hawaii is mostly JO service, but that is a low-yield market, SYD should do considerably better.
