I am not familiar with the way AA deals with this, if there is a way at all. It seems to me that the validity of the booking is simply an agent controlled field that they set at will whenever they like, for as long or short as they like. So, to answer the question, I would guess that the validity will remain as set, until an agent deliberately changes it, if you persuade them to do so.
