There is no way to resolve this I'm afraid.
It’s a lottery really, sometimes the option is there, and sometimes it ain't.
And if it isn't, there is not much you can do about it.
I think it depends a lot on the route.
If the ticket can be indorsed to another airline then the option to cancel online is grayed out.
Where are your bookings to?
