Had the complete opposite experience to you in that case. Maybe I was lucky.
Stayed there last week. Check-in was quick, friendly and efficient. Staff were knowledgeable and helped me to sort a couple of events out for the group I was joining in Vegas, albeit staying elsewhere. Rooms were cleaned with no problems despite me making the room unavailable most of the days. No problem getting cabs. As for the buffet prices, I'm pretty certain it isn't $12 for the cold buffet or $17 for the full breakfast buffet at the Bellagio, which is it at the Westin.
I enjoyed my stay at least.
