I wash almost all my dry clean only stuff except structured garments like suits. I wash silk, cashmere. I was in cold water, gentle cycle and I line dry almost everything (certainly all the dry clean only things). I've never had a problem. I wouldn't hesitate to wash the jeans, but they aren't my jeans.
