I stayed last night in Le Parker Meridien in New York, which is not a cheap hotel. I wasn't feeling well, didn't want to go out, so I ordered room service. Practically the only choice that wasn't salty, over-sweetened, cheap-ingredient food was a hamburger (and that's what I had -- for $21). Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone else care? I don't mind paying room service prices, but I'd really like something decent to eat when, as with this week, I'm on the road, running from meeting to meeting and hotel to hotel.
Did they send a burger from their main kitchen or from the Secret Burger Joint behind the reception desk?
