I've stayed in a couple of Kimptons - they are nice hotels, some have rooms set up for female business travellers (a few extra toiletries usually). Service is pretty good, their program isn't much from what I recall (or I knew wasn't going to stay frequently enough to make it count).

Their restaurants can be very pricey for basic hotel fare.

I'd be surprised if they comp status but let us know how that goes.
