Well, look. I'm talking a little bit out of my tachat here, but while I think hard-core, business-oriented flyers will certainly fly AA, I think a lot of travelers of a certain demographic will favor LY 30% because it's Israel's airline, and 70% because of LY security.
Even if that's 100% accurate, the LY MIA route won't survive without the high yielders. Furtheremore, TLV-MIA on AA will be the only overnight (hopefully) n/s OW service to N.America from TLV. It will target lots of travellers currently doing their US travel on BA.
In March 2008, they will even have spare 777s after CO and DL start serving LHR from NYC.
