We stayed here last week for a long weekend in the sun - shame it was cold and windy!

We picked up a hire car from MLA and drove to the hotel - if you haven't driven in Malta before you will find it a little different and there is also a complete absence of directions. The hotel is tucked down some very small streets and stands in part of a large complex.

Check in was very efficient and we were given access to the Lounge but on a non Lounge floor. We were shown to the lounge while our room was prepared - it was rather a long wait and when one of the managers came in and saw us still sitting after an hour he quickly arranged a room for us.

All of the staff are excellent and they will go out of their way to help. We didn't eat in any of the hotel restaurants as we found a great Maltese restaurant just across the square and we just ate there.

The lounge is of a good size and the breakfast is very good - not just continental for a change. Drinks are from 6 to 7 in the evening and are cleared promptly at 7
