I have been casting about for a replacement for my Marriott stays(hoping the divorce will be finalized soon )and came across the Kimpton Chain.
The folks that run their frequent guest program seems to have been reading the compalints here on flyertalk.com about the big chains.They are expanding their list of properties very rapidly and so I am going to give thier program a shot.
Emailing the Intouch http://www.kimptonhotels.com/loyalty.aspx folks tomorrow to see if the will match status.
I will still keep my spg plat status-they are good to me and I do need one international chain.But kimpton seems to be in lots of places I travel to reguraly.
Have any of you made the switch from one of the big 4 to a smaller more independant chain?Experiences?
