AKL-DFW is the announced route. Speculation that the plane(s) may go SYD-AKL-DFW, but that is not announced by QF, nor is start date known. The 744ERs will be delivered with the new interiors (new F, J and Y and improved IFE). Delivery date of the 2nd plane appears to be delayed and I doubt QF will start service to DFW with only one plane (alternative is a technical stop in LAX and that has many problems, not the least being the landing slot availability). I'm guessing the service won't start now until Fedb 2003 (just in time for the America's Cup?).
