Thanks for all the responses and information on personal experiences with prior bookings. My plan is to use my HH AMEX to get 5x$10,000=50,000 points. That one should be a no-brainer.

I’m also going to try and see if I can grab a room (rates are $200 for the night) just for my parents to relax in and then tie as much as I can to the room folio. (my HHonors profile is to double dip with HH points only, which gives me 15 points per dollar spent).

I’ll also follow the suggestions offered here and just ask the manager what she can offer me as far as HHonor rewards for booking with them.
