Yes, at least as of two months ago BA still uses the AF lounge which is very close to the BA departure gates and basically just an enclosed elevated platform (like some other CDG lounges) that you walk up some steps to reach. It's OK but you aren't missing a whole lot (and they still won't let you in flying Y).

PS depending on when you're flying I don't think the BA check-in area at CDG opens until 6:30 a.m., sometimes a little later, so it's not worth it to get there any earlier.
