It'll never happen to me. I'm not that daft!
Well that's what I thought until it actually did. In all fairness, I was 'under the influence' at the time.
February last year. We were on the last minute as it was, hopped into the car for the drive upto Liverpool for a 6.45am flight. About a mile into the journery I realised I didn't have my wallet. I said it didn't matter as I could do a bank transfer immediately to one of my mates accounts for them to do a cash withdrawal, but the driver insisted we go back.
Anyhow, upon arriving back home, it seems I'd left the keys in the front door, my wallet on the fire place and my passport on the dining room table!
We got to Liverpoorl airport with five minutes to spare. I insisted on having a pint before going through security at 6.10am

. Our names were shouted over the tannoy, security was chokka - and they wouldn't let us queue jump. Got through security, dashed to the plane and little did I know but I was dropping fifty euro notes en route. If it wasn't for the lads running behind me, I'd never have known!
All that for a day trip!
