Kind of surprised nobody has piped up about the FT 'do' on which I did exactly this. Picture the scene - a group of BA boarders hiking through LGW N duty free toward the champagne fridges of the F lounge:

I did impress myself with my ability to blag my way back into the UK and then blast over to the Holiday Inn (thanks, spotwelder), grab it and make it back for a glass or two before the flight!
