The actual mileage was 38000 but crediting in Miles and More with 1000 mile minimums brought it up to 43761 multiplied by class of service bonuses.
I actually had the shorter segments credited to my Mileage Plus account to get the 50000 mile Star Alliance bonus and the 10000 mile Anniversary Quiz bonus. So with a 1st class ticket I ended up with 100000 M+M status points plus 27000 elite level qualifier points and 70000 Mileage Plus points.
A few weeks back while I was in Ecuador you asked about the Senator upgrade cheque books. The coupons are valid for a pre-confirmed or standby upgrade on any published fare and the points are deducted as listed in the M+M award table.
As a bonus at Xmas Lufthansa sent a free system-wide standby upgrade certificate with the same rules valid for 12 months.
