Sounds as though it could have been nasty but wasn't! From memory, two herons would be way over the certification standard for the engine, even for a safe shut down - although safe shutdown may depend on the engine design generation. So if there was no uncontained failure, it did well. OTOH, don't know what the engine power and the IAS speed was and where the impacts occurred, which would also be determinant in whether there was damage.
