Wondered what the policy was on being able to buy on-board upgrades into Club World. At EWR last night I was confirmed in WT+ and enquired at the gate as to whether I would be able to purchase a J upgrade on-board.

The very helpful GA looked at the J loads and confirmed there was certainly seats available and he would pop down and ask the CSD as to the price. This he did, but came back and said "the CSD says she is not doing any on-board upgrades today". He then went on to say I could purchase at the gate but this would be at the full one-way fare. So naturally I declined this.

I thought this a bit strange - surely BA either do offer this on-board or they don't, not just at the whim of the CSD which seemed to be the case yesterday??
