Exchange rates and taxes killed any chance of my wife and I going over this year.
Would have been her first time outside North America (I did the UK 3 times in my single days, but with the pound averaging $1.60), but for the price of flights and a week in London, we've got Arizona down, Maine on the docket and Puerto Rico in the planning stages, plus probably BTR for a football game for me in the fall.
I don't pretend to know enough about international finance to tell whether the current exchange rates are good or bad in an overall sense, but they're sure killing my urge to travel outside North America. (Hell, Canada's not even a bargain for us anymore.)
