Any advice on where to stay (and eat) in Amsterdam? My partner and I will be there for three days as part of a RTW in very early September. I was thinking of the Hilton, just because I'm gold so there are usually some benefits, but I hear its far away. We found a place called the Easy/Centre Apartments which sounded nice and seemed to be in a great location (walking distance and quiet residential street) but their web page says they do not have non-smoking rooms. Since I'm rather sensitive to smoke, I'm looking for somewhere else.
