Hello JB Forum,
I have not really posted here much in the fast (I am from the AA Board), but I have a question for you which I have wondered about for quite a while.
I am a big fan of JetBlue myself, and used to fly them plenty. But then my flying habits changed and I needed to fly much more frequently, and with international segments.
JetBlue is great for the infrequent traveler, but I just don't see TrueBlue as being strong enough for those who really fly "a lot." The big carriers give free upgrades and bonus miles to those who fly 25,000+ miles/year. I get my miles doubled right now w/ American -- thereby it takes only 2.5 r/t LAX-JFKs to get another one for free, vs. over 4 on JB.
What keeps the "very frequent flyers" on JB -- those travelers who would be getting free first-class upgrades and extra miles elsewhere?
My guess is it has to be the overall "vibe" of the airline. Prices are pretty average, etc...
Thanks for your comments!
