As long as we agree that wearing a t-shirt to raise awareness of an issue isn't immature, we're okay
Funny thing happened to me at BOS the other day. I was stopping at a gift shop just outside of security and there was a young guy there who looked a little rushed. When he got to the head of the line he asked "Can I buy ziploc bags here?" The woman at the counter told him he could and she pulled out a bag quoting the price at 10 cents. He said "No, how much for the whole box?" She looked dumbfounded. He said "I want to buy the whole box and bring it up to security so that no body else has to go through this and go through security again."
At that point, I couldn't keep my mouth shut. I piped in "It's for a good cause." She quoted him a price and he bought the box. As he was leaving I said "Yeah, sometimes you just have to shame the TSA into good behavior." Several other customers smiled and nodded as he left.
Was he being immature? I don't think so. He found a way to make a statement to the front line workers and passengers, and that's precisely what we all need at times.
