Definately works in an ATM machine, I have seen it used.

I just called Cust Service and the guy gave me three different answers (same guy, same call). Final answer was, its a 1% surcharge only from Amex + whatever the ATM fee is for the institution giving you the cash. Can anyone confirm this? I don't feel to sure this information is correct.
