I received from CO 2-3000 Bonus Miles for helping in an in air emergency. I heard of instant upgrades on LH and of mailed bottles of Champanger by AF for in air emergencies. Statusmiles however are new to me as a sign of appreciation.
I registered with LH for their Flying Doctors program. Since then on 2/4 long distance flights a flight attended or the purser came to my seats shortly after take off, chatted a little and thanked my for my willingness to help and offered a glass of whatever I wanted. Very nice!
